Taharat & Dam Calculator: common questions
Who is this calculator for?
Girls and women who do not yet have a fixed habit, whose bleeding comes and goes. It applies the rule for a woman without a habit (10 days haiz at most). If you have a habit, your habit decides long bleedings instead: use the Haiz Calculator, or ask a scholar if your bleeding is broken up by clean days.
What happens to clean days inside a bleeding?
If the clean gap is shorter than 15 days and has blood on both sides, it is treated as part of the bleeding (an invalid purity).
Why 10 days haiz and 20 days purity?
This is the Hanafi rule for a woman without a habit whose bleeding continues: the maximum haiz, then the remainder of a 30-day month as purity.
Should I pray on the clean days?
Yes, pray when you are clean. If they later turn out to be part of the haiz, the prayers were not owed; fasts kept on those days are made up.
